Shaking Table Test and Parameter Analysis on Vibration Control of a New Damping System (PDAL)

In order to make full use of the advantages PD (particle damper) and TLD (tuned liquid technologies, a new kind damping system combining these two already-existing dampers is proposed was named as PDAL particle damper with additional liquid). A shaking table test steel frame structure conducted here for purpose vibration control analysis. The results demonstrate well reliability effectiveness under various seismic waves. Seismic responses (mainly acceleration value) are investigated thoroughly parameter analysis based on experimental data, some suggestions future designs, including necessity optimization awareness dynamic characteristic changes that might occur in actual structures if attached system. This paper constitutes preliminary study system, it can serve baseline conceptual reference investigations.
